Numbering system
From ScribbleWiki: StampDetective.com
I have toyed around with several different numbering systems, but many were so complex and lengthy that use would be difficult. I have opted for a simpler system:
#1.#2.#3
Where #1 is the issue number sequentially by date, #2 is the major variation, and #3 is the minor cariation.
So, as an example 1.0 would be the first regular issue without variation. 1.1 would be a major variation such as different perforation, major color, etc. 1.0.1 or 1.1.1 would be a further variation such as plate position.
It tends to follow the general WIKI table of contents style. Overall, the numbering system is not extremely important during the infancy of this project and can be revised or changed later - the beauty of the WIKI.
